Royal Palace Phnom Penh Opening Hours 2026
The palace keeps a two-session schedule with a long midday break. Plan around it so you are not turned away at the gate.
Daily schedule
The palace is open 08:00–11:00 in the morning and 14:00–17:00 in the afternoon, seven days a week. The ticket booth usually stops selling about 30 minutes before each closing.
The midday closure
Between 11:00 and 14:00 the inner courtyards close for lunch and rest. Use the break for a riverside lunch nearby; the National Museum is a five-minute walk and stays open.
Last entry & temporary closures
Aim to enter before 10:30 or after 14:30. The palace can close sections or the whole site at short notice for royal ceremonies or state events — there is no fixed calendar, so verify on the day if a visit is critical.
Opening hours FAQ
What time is the last entry?
The booth typically closes around 30 minutes before the 11:00 and 17:00 closures, so last practical entry is about 10:30 and 16:30.
Is the palace open on public holidays?
It generally follows the same 08:00–11:00 / 14:00–17:00 schedule, but royal or national ceremonies can override it. Check locally on the day.
Why is it closed at midday?
The midday break lets staff rest and the site recover from the heat; it is a long-standing schedule, not a daily exception.
